bake and crafthouse now open!

The opening party last Saturday was a great success, thank you to everyone who made it down and to everyone who has called in this week to see the new space.

For those of you who haven't made it here yet I thought I would share some photos to tempt you...

Workshops are now running every day and when there are no classes the craft cafe is open for cakes, hot drinks and crafty inspiration. The new timetable for October half term will also be online from this weekend, more details to follow next week!

The Black Rabbit

My final daily post showcasing the fabulous products that will be stocked in the bake and crafthouse is about The Black Rabbit.

Based in Margate, Kent, The Black Rabbit produces beautiful lambswool accessories and home products. bake and crafthouse will be stocking their lovely cards and knitted animals, including Little Lapin and Striped Elephant and will be adding to the range very soon.

Anorak Magazine

Anorak describes itself as the happy mag for kids and I can't help smiling every time I see it. Each issue they collaborate with a handful of talented illustrators to produce their fantastically colourful and inspiring magazine. It is packed full of activities for kids (5-12yrs) and we are lucky to be stocking the latest issue, SEA EXPLORERS.

We are also selling their new book FOOD IS FUN which has lots of recipes and fun food education! Including, Super Easy Cake a Monkey could Make, I am not a maniac, I am a celeriac!, a brief history of the fork, and foodie word searches.

I'm already looking forward to the Autumn issue!

Charlotte Farmer Tea Towels

I have a confession to make, I love tea towels. I suppose it is really just an extension of my love of fabric, and fabric that I can use in the kitchen is just a bonus! So, I am delighted to be stocking these two playful tea towel designs by Charlotte Farmer.

Peek at the New Bake and Crafthouse Premises

Rifle Paper Co. Stationery

I am so excited to be stocking Rifle Paper Co. stationery!

 

Rifle Paper Co. is based in Florida and designed by Anna Bond. Her drawings are so pretty and it was really hard to choose what to order from their fantastic range. I have selected items that combine cooking and craft beautifully such as these illustrated recipe cards (below) and this lovely fruit calendar (above), we also have a selection of their cards on sale.

All of their products are made using environmentally friendly papers & printing and then assembled by hand by their small in-house production team. I can't wait to place my next order for Christmas cards and they have some great children's party invitations.

ABC - Marcus Walters Alphabet Posters

Less than one week until opening! Each day this week I will be previewing some of the fantastic products that will be on sale at the bake and crafthouse from Saturday. I have really enjoyed researching and finding some great products, I hope you like them too!

First up is Marcus Walters My First Alphabet poster. Marcus is an illustrator and designer based near Stroud in Gloucestershire.

bake and crafthouse is pleased to be stocking this brightly coloured alphabet poster printed on lovely matt paper. Marcus is currently working on more poster designs for kids, a counting poster and a new alphabet design, I can't wait to see them! He is also a regular contributor the the fantastic Anorak magazine which we will also be stocking, more about that in Thursday's preview.

Lots of homemade aprons for the bake and crafthouse!

2 weeks until opening...

State of Craft book featuring bake and crafthouse!

Last week I received some exciting news, a new book of craft projects that I contributed to is just about to be published, the first copies will be hot of the press now!

It features work by many different crafty people, including Tatty Devine, DIY Couture and the cat in the shoe, to name just a few, and step by step instructions of how you can make their fantastic designs. My project is a set of lovely embroidered coasters that are quite easy and fun to make and of course very useful!

The book will be available from the 3rd October (you can already pre-order on Amazon!) and I will also be stocking it at bake and crafthouse. Looks like a good Christmas present to me!

3 weeks until opening...

Very exciting news, it is only 3 weeks until the bake and crafthouse opens its doors! Busy getting everything ready to move into the new premises next Friday. The opening party will take place on 24th September so I hope you see you all there, details to follow.
